Welcome to the ninth Philadelphia Python Workshop: a project-driven introduction to Python for women and their friends! We're offering this event through Girl Develop It Philly as Intro to Python 2.
This workshop is running on Saturday, July 27 at First Round Capital in Philadelphia, PA.
Schedule
- 11:45am-12:45pm: set up your development environment, learn how to execute Python code from a file and interactively from a Python prompt, and practice Python problems.
- 1pm-2pm: review material from GDI Philly's Python 1 workshop; practice Python problems.
- 2:15pm-3:15pm: Project 1: Wordplay
- 3:30pm-4:30pm: Project 2: Twitter or Colorwall
- 4:30pm-5pm: wrap-up, next steps, and upcoming opportunities for learning and practicing Python.
