Contributing to Python/Windows IRC
On Windows, we'll be using mIRC, a popular graphical IRC chat client.
IRC client setup instructions
- Download X-Chat for Windows from this link.
- Read through the material on Getting started with X-Chat. We'll practice using IRC in depth later in the day.
IRC client practice: joining the #pyladies channel
During this workshop, we'll get practice using IRC and helping each other as we contribute to projects in the #pyladies channel on the Freenode network.
To join it, scroll down in the Network list and find the Freenode network. Select it by clicking, then click Connect.
Once you connect, join the #pyladies channel.
