What to install before the workshop
David Gilhooley says:
"We would like each person to come with at least Linux dual booted on their system or running in virtual box.
If they are planning on running Linux in virtual box they should install their favorite distribution iso beforehand (if they do not know what that is they should use Ubuntu 14.04, which can be downloaded here http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop)
Here is a good resource for running something in virtual box: http://www.linux.com/learn/tutorials/736984-install-linux-virtualbox-tips
One really great resource (despite its name) is kernelnewbies.org. We will be using this guide for installation specifically: http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWfirstpatchSetup
The main thing is to have some form of Linux up and running for the event."
What you'll be doing at the workshop
